Foot Ball

And to complete the series of Odd Balls here's my doodle of a Foot Ball. These are all the doodles I have for now. I'm not saying I'll post new doodles in the future or that I won't but if you want to follow me over on https://www.instagram.com/johndanims/ I'm starting to post collections of these old classic doodles for you to re-enjoy.

Disco Ball

Staying alive! My last post here was around 3.5 years ago. It mentions that I was having some PC issues. I did get that sorted a bit, though was still running pretty slow, but not long after that I got distracted with a new job and I haven't posted anything here since. I recently upgraded to a nice and fast new PC and have now decided to post the two chapters of this that I never got around to posting back then. They both follow on from the previous theme (the masquerade ball, which I'm sure everyone remembers) and were drawn around November 2016, by the looks of it. I'll post part two of the "lost chapters" some time between now and 2023, though I'm thinking maybe closer to next week.

Masquerade Ball - REQUEST

It's been a while since I posted. Still having PC issues. Hopefully get it sorted soon so I can get back on this regularly.

In the meantime, here's another request from David, a masquerade ball. Keep your eyes out for more ball based doodles to come.

A Call from "Microsoft" - Dorris McComics Tribute

I received my first call from "Microsoft" recently telling me about a virus I had. I immediately thought that such a call could be perfect in the format of Alex Norris' Dorris McComics as well as a good life lesson to anyone reading. So I hope Alex doesn't mind my rip-off homage to his character and style. Go check out his stuff, it's always fun whenever it appears as I'm browsing through the internet.

Good Idea/Bad Idea - REQUEST

When David made a request for me to draw a good idea, I decided to go one step further and also draw a bad idea. I then went a partial step forward from there and turned it into a tribute to Animaniacs while also continuing Davids skeletal theme from his last couple of requests.

Build it? They will come!

I haven't seen Field of Dreams so I'm not entirely sure why Kevin Costner wanted to build a baseball field to attract a bunch of ghosts. I'm also sure that the quote may be a victim of the Mandela Effect, but I thought that it could have gone a drastically different route if he'd interpreted the message differently.

My original idea for this involved some kind of building that nobody would ever want to visit but then I decided to go more literal and not to alienate anyone that may actually want to visit whatever type of building I came up with.
