Tales from the Till Roll: Till Demons!

 An average day at work.

Don't worry, they won't all be the usual fun tales of existential anguish and torture you all look forward to, some of them will be little quaint rhymes based on real events.

Infinitely O.K.

So this issue we are going to start this new hand signal craze. First it was the heart shape, now it's the infinitely O.K. sign. Ever been in a situation when you're asked how things are and they aren't really a full step up from O.K. but you feel that O.K. is underplaying it a little? Well now you can be infinitely O.K.! Spread the word and, of course, don't forget to tell people where you saw it first!

REQUEST: Wolverine BBQ for the Kids

Wow, this Chris guy really likes to make requests. If you want to be "cool" like him just send me a message and maybe your request could be a part of till roll doodle history.

The One Red Ring of Death

Remember when peoples XBoxes kept getting red rings of death? Somehow mine still survives, but Gandalf wasn't so lucky, he sent Frodo on en epic journey to sort his out. Told you all Andy Serkis would make another appearance this week.

Tales from the Till Roll: I AM NOT A ROBOT!

Now that there's a second "Tales from the Till Roll" we can officially class it as a series. Whenever I work behind a till there's a bit of paper behind it which, among other things, says "Remember, you are not a robot." I think it might be lying. Of course whoever wrote that was unaware of the origins of the word "robot." The word "robot" comes from "robota" which, in Czech and a few other European languages, means "labour," "drudgery," "hard work" and "servitude." Either they didn't know or they didn't expect anyone reading it to be aware of the origins to pick apart the irony of the statement.

Elly the Elephant

Ooh, almost somewhat political. If only Andy Serkis was running against Trump, then it might actually mean something. More from Andy Serkis later in the week.
